Lad has been with me since he was a long yearling, and I personally started his training at the age of two. Over the past two years, he has undergone extensive training and exposure to various environments, making him a versatile and well-rounded horse. Lad has logged hundreds of trail miles and is comfortable riding alone or in groups, easily navigating roads, woods, agricultural fields, and more. His skills include walking, trotting, loping, backing up, side-passing, stopping off the riderâs seat, neck reining, and responding well to leg pressure. He stands tied, has good manners for the farrier, and is excellent with dogs. Lad also effortlessly handles water crossings, bridges, traffic, loads, leads, clips, and bathes. He debuted at the 2023 Missouri Fox Trotter World Show and Celebration, where he easily handled the hectic environment and competed in cattle sorting, helping secure multiple spots in the finals.
